Granny and Papa!!
Adam's parents came for a week and was here with us for Memorial Day. It always seems they come when it is a 'firework' holiday because we always seem to go watch fireworks when they come. It was over the water at Lake Hamilton. Anyways, we had a lot of fun. We all pitched in and cooked for Memorial Day. Adam's Dad made ribs!! Yum! We also took them to Magic Springs and Crystal Falls as well as other quality time fun.
3 Year Old Preschool DONE
It seems hard to make it to the blog these days. I do most updating through Facebook. I love my work schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday but between that and being On Call periodically as well as staying busy with preparing for activities, and lessons for the kids/Youth at church, any free time.. I want to take a breather! ;) Lets not forget that I LOVE Summer too so I also don't stay in a ton either. We are SO very grateful of the blessing of being able to buy season passes to Magic Springs Amusement and Crystal Falls Water Park. We have spent quiet a few days there already especially enjoying the water park on those hot days as well as starting to take advantage of the concerts that are included. VBS for us also starts tomorrow and goes through the rest of the week.
With that being said...it's hard to believe that she has completed her first year of preschool. Adam said she gave her a teacher, Ms. Ballard a hug "goodbye" when he picked her up that last day and it was sad. She really was an excellent teacher and we couldn't ask for more from her whole experience this past school year.
She is now in Summer School and Adam and I have already talked about her temporary teacher for Summer School just isn't as good as Ms. Ballard. But then again, I guess she has high expectations after Ms. Ballard :) It's all good though, they are doing a lot of fun activities this Summer too.
This is blurry because it was my phone and so far away. Grace was going up to get her certificate
These are pics of the handmade card Grace made her teacher with a gift.

Nana and Paw Paw Came!
My Mom and Step-Dad decided to come at the last minute so that Mom could be here with me on Mother's Day. It was the best visit. Just great quality time together. They drove in on Saturday and left this AM. On Saturday, Adam worked that evening, but the rest of us went to Dixie Cafe for supper and to the Grocery Store. On Sunday, Mother's Day, we had church and we went to On The Border for lunch. Then me and Mom went to Sam's since she has a membership and I don't just to browse around. That evening we ended up going to Family Park after church and it was just perfect. The next day I had to work, but Nana and Paw Paw took advantage of having Grace. Adam was off but he did some things while just the three of them (Nana, Paw Paw, and Grace) got to spend sweet time together. They took Grace to Chick-Fil-A and let her get Chocolate Milk AND a ice cream cone and play in the indoor playground!:) Then they went to the mall to walk around and let Grace ride the little cars that you put money in. She had the biggest day with them.
We all came home and Nana cooked for us that evening and Grace even helped Nana in the kitchen. Then we all went out here to the church playground and then over to the gym to play for a bit. This was the first time they had been in the gym here too.
Today was the goodbyes.. It was strange, Grace has never done this.. Grace got VERY upset when they left. She didn't want them to go. She cried and cried. It literally broke my heart! :( She got better and then just our little family went to Walmart together before Daddy had to be at work.
Latest Preschool Happenings
I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've updated. We had colds and the stomach virus over the past month but have also had some fun things happen over the last month!! :) I'm gonna try to get caught up on my post today..
Have I told you all that we LOVE Grace's preschool?!? Everything about it! They had a Water Day for the kids about a couple weeks ago. They all wore their swimsuits to school and Grace's class had a picnic lunch after the water time in the courtyard and topped it off with watermelon and popsicles. The kids had a blast!! Thankfully, I was able to take a early lunch break and go see her play in the water and have fun with her friends on this special day! :)
This next picture is Grace and you can see her teacher, Ms. Ballard in front of her
They also had a field trip to Coleman Mines and dug for Crystals at these mines. Daddy got to go with Grace on this field trip.
Then they had their Gymnastic's Program for the year to show what they've learned. They all got medals and awards. Grace got the Award for 'Super Splits' they said she had great flexibility and does great on her splits. LOL Adam and I both got to go to this. We were very proud of her. They were all so cute though!

Grace turned 4!!!!
Grace turned 4 last Thursday! The way our work schedules fell and our friends schedules, I decided having her party on her actual Birthday would be best. Many people just wouldn't be available on the weekend, including Adam.
Grace chose a Hello Kitty Birthday party. We invited her usual close friends Abby and Isaac and then Kendall and Arden, but we also decided to invite all the kids from her class at church. She loves them too! I invited them, thinking that maybe 2 of the kids from church would come and instead they all but 3 didn't come!! It was great! We ended up with 10 kids and 10 adults here that night. I did a pork for barb-que sandwiches and baked beans, and chips for everyone. I bought the cake at Ambrosia Bakery that did a wonderful job!
The kids played indoors and outdoors on the playground for a bit. Her bedroom truly looked like a tornado had come through it! :) During presents, it was so funny... the kids all wanted Grace to open up "their's" first and tell Grace how great it is. They're all so cute!! :) We are truly blessed!

While we sang Happy Birthday to her.. she couldn't take her eyes off her Daddy. She just looked at him with the biggest smile. It was very sweet! :)

The next few were after the party.. you can tell we're tired :)

My Birthday AND Easter!!
My Birthday happen to fall on Easter this year. It was a special day! We got up and gave Grace's Easter basket to her. Of course, she was all smiles. They then gave me my B'day present. They got me a Hello Kitty phone cover :), Building 429 CD, I tunes gift card, and some money.
We got ready for church. I have recently been teaching the kids class on Sundays until they can find someone else so I knew Easter Sunday would be a big day and it was! We went out to Olive Garden for lunch and then just a restful afternoon and church that night. Grace did all her egg hunting the day before. We did go through her resurrection eggs one by one and go through the story with her which was great for all of us.
