More Summer Fun

We finally went out and bought Grace a new 'baby' pool for this Summer last weekend. It is very cute. You can hook the water hose up to it and the flowers on the side will be sprinklers. So it is a little pool and sprinkler in one which I thought was very neat. Grace doesn't care for the constant sprinkler on her (because it is cold) but likes to play in them for a brief time or just turn them down and play in the water with her hands or drink the water. I got a video and some pics. She also had her FIRST Capri Sun that day and she LOVED it! It is a TREAT for her and she calls them her 'juice box'. :) She even talked me into getting in the pool with my clothes on because I wasn't prepared to get in. :) It felt pretty good though, in this heat! We got in there again yesterday too!

Last Sunday night we did have our Mission group at a friend's parents house who has a pool. We all got to swim in the pool, cook out, and discuss the Bible Study. It was so much fun and I hate it I forgot my camera! Grace really enjoyed the pool this time instead of being scared of it.

We had a fun family day yesterday. First Grace and I went on a walk through the neighborhood. We later went to the mall and ate at the Food Court and she rode the little cars that you put 50 cents in and then we left there and treated ourselves to ICE CREAM. When we told Grace she couldn't get in the ice cream shoppe fast enough:)! She said she wanted cookie dough flavor and that is what we got her. She LOVED it! We later played outside last night and she pushed her baby up the road in the stroller.

GOOD TIMES!

Our past week has not been all bad! As I said in the previous post I have been working A LOT more the past two weeks or so, due to our census going up! This is really an answer to prayer for more work. Adam was also getting a lot of hours with the census but it has now slowed down for him but he has also been busy around the house. Between all of this, we have both been busy and tired! :) In our free time though, we have done some fun things over the past week or so.

Last Wednesday, we had 2 of our favorite people from church over for dinner. They are so much fun to be around and we just LOVE hanging out with them. They are expected their first child too and they found out today that it is a GIRL!!! We are VERY excited for them! They are SOO good with kids and Grace just LOVES them and they love Grace!

On Saturday, while I was sleeping they watched Grace for Adam while he went to see about a job. Grace was happy to see them again!

On Sunday, Grace made a craft at church and I am attaching a picture. In her class, they are learning that God Made Everything. That night we started our new home/mission group which was fun! This coming Sunday we are going to do our Mission Group at someone's house with a pool and we will do the Bible Study first and then all swim and cook out! FUN! FUN!

Grace has also spent some time playing with our neighbors. We have been over a couple of times this week and today Grace got in Andrew and Mattie's pool and they drove his Jeep outside. (Grace was very cute driving his Jeep too.. doesn't quiet get the steering yet).. and then Staci and the boys came over to our house to play in the air conditioning. They are really so cute together and have so much fun together! Grace always gets upset when she has to leave them...

Uh oh, Oh No.. and Grace's Teeth!

This past week has been a bit discouraging to us at times! We have had 2 pretty big things that came as a surprise. First, on Sunday, Grace was just playing in the house and slid down over her shoe in the kitchen and fell flat on her face and CHIPPED her two front teeth. It is a pretty good size chip and this left me VERY upset. It was just one of those things that just happened and we couldn't take it away but I instantly knew we would have to see about getting her teeth fixed. I knew if we didn't she would have those 2 front chipped teeth till she was possible 7 years old, 5 more years!!

That next day we found out our Mission trip price was going up $800 more dollars due to air travel being so expensive right now. The plane tickets are more than they expected. This was just another thing to add to the list.

We took Grace to a Pediatric Dentist this past Tuesday and they looked at her and said it would be a pretty simple procedure and they would give Grace just a little medicine to make her sleepy, go to sleep and it wouldn't take long at all... THEN, we found out that they were going to charge... $905.00 to bond her teeth. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!?! Needless to say, we are getting a second opinion! We got a name of another Dentist that is reasonable and talked to them over the phone and they seem to be a lot cheaper but she will go to that Dentist on Monday.
We feel better now, we know that it is all in the Lord's hands and thankfully my job has really picked up and I have been getting A LOT of extra hours the last couple of weeks. We know it will all work out!

Here are some pics of her teeth... Sorry, in the pics she is eating goldfish:)

Fun in the Sun in late Spring..

Adam and I took Grace to Tom Sawyer State Park this past Saturday. It was crowded including the play area so we spent time walking around the park. Grace's favorite part.. picking up rocks and sticks and writing in the dirt with the sticks.

Today we went to the zoo with my neighbor and her two boys. She had invited us to come and we finally went today. We walked around and saw the bigger animals and then our plan was to go to the splash park. It was VERY hot and I was actually looking forward to it because I knew Grace could stand to be cooled off and I wouldn't mind to be splashed a little too while with her!:) Well... she didn't like it. She started crying when the water splashed her. Staci's (my neighbor) youngest boy doesn't like the splash park either. Andrew LOVES it! So me, Staci, Grace, and Matti sat in the shade while Andrew played in the water. :) Before we left we had to ride the carousel. Andrew and Matti love it. Can you believe this was Grace FIRST time to ride on a carousel?!! She did really good. She was such a big girl. She got scared a couple of times when the horse went up high and she realized how far up she was but I held on to her and I think she was proud!:) She kept giggling at Andrew because he was acting silly. It was fun!!

Grace's best boy bud!!... Andrew:)

Our little Darlin' and Date night...

This girl LOVES church! Here she is on Sunday before leaving to go to church...

P.S. You all are getting a sneak peak at our kitchen that we have fixed up to sell our house. We will post all before and after pics later...

This past weekend at church was marriage emphasis weekend. There was a men's breakfast on Saturday where Danny Akin (President of Southeastern Bapt. Seminary and our Pastor's Dad) spoke about marriage. Then on Sunday morning the preaching was about marriage and that night they had a no excuse date night. This is where the staff and their wives, etc. watched all of our kids so parents could go on a date. It was wonderful and I thought that was a FABULOUS idea!

Adam and I went and played Putt Putt together and then went and tried out a Restaurant called Aspen Creek and it was WONDERFUL!! The food was very yummy! Grace always has so much fun with all the little kids so it was fun for all!:)

Not what you want to see...

The other day Adam was mowing the grass and ran upon this along the fence line...

Of course Adam killed it and later he looked it up to see what kind of snake this is. Thankfully, it was just a rat snake, but STILL......

How We Are Spending A Lot of Days...

This year Grace is old enough now that she can play with the neighborhood kids. We are very blessed to have wonderful neighbors and we also live on a dead end street so it is great for the kids to get out and play. We have 8 kids about 5 and under. Most are about 2-4 years old. Grace ADORES one of our next door neighbor's little boys, Andrew. She talks about him ALL the time and every time she goes outside she is looking for especially him! :o) She LIGHTS UP when she sees him and hollers for him... ANDREWWWW! Andrew likes Grace too and is so sweet to her. They are all very cute together and have so much fun! A few of them have motorized jeeps and they ride them all the time as well as all their riding toys. I enjoy spending time with all the Mom's too!

I finally got a couple of pictures today but only of a few of them, the others had went inside for lunch...

Grace riding the jeep with her favorite.. Andrew, and Sofie who is a friend of theirs from church that was just visiting. She was very sweet too!

Music To Our Ears......

Grace LOVES to sing and sings all of the time. She can sing the whole first verse of 'Amazing Grace' and was singing the entire ABC song last night. She kind of amazes us some times!:)

Grace's hair is wild in this first video and she is not exactly lady like with her skirt :0) but it is sweet any ways. She gets a little side tracked some times while singing and this is actually from a couple of weeks ago. She can sing the whole first verse without any mistakes and most of the 2nd verse!

Curly!!

Grace's new name lately is 'Curly'. :) As her hair is growing some it has been getting curlier and curlier! That is another thing she gets from her Daddy's side of the family. We think her curls are very cute!:)

Adam was combing her hair after bath the other night when I was working and got come pics of all her curls:).....

Chocolate Ice Cream is GOOOOD! :)

This is what my husband teaches our daughter... LOL. She has a lot of funny ways and most come from her Dad!

The spoon just doesn't quiet get it all.......

This is fun!!!..........

LOL!!!!!

Adam's Boyce Graduation

Adam graduated with his Bachelor's degree from Boyce College at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary last Friday. My mom and Adam's parents came to Louisville to be here for the Graduation. We are all very proud of him. Now we are just wondering... what's next?? As I have said he will continue his education.. pursuing his Master's Degree online through Liberty Seminary.

We enjoyed our time with family while they were here and Grace was in 'hog heaven' with both Grandma's and her Papa here!

Unfortunately, they are moving back to their home state (California) this weekend as Brian has excepted a Ministry position there. We will miss them SO MUCH! They are an awesome witness of our King Jesus and have been great servants in our church and to others!

Our friends David and Katie Borreson (expecting) from our church!
