Growing Up.....

Grace got a new little table and chairs set that Nana found her and we brought it home the day we came back from AL and Grace saw the box and wanted to see it right away. So Adam got it out of the box that night and she was SOO cute sitting at her little table. The table top is a dry erase board so she can color on it and erase it too! The table is really nice too because you can easily fold it up and put it away. She even ate her lunch at it the next day!:) When we set the table up and saw Grace sitting at it... Adam said... "she is just growing up!" She looks like a little 'big' girl sitting at her table!

Grace has also rediscovered a play set of keys that came in a pack that she got from her Uncle Greg and Kelly that had a play bottle and sippy cup for her 'babies'. She tries to mimmick Momma and Daddy by trying to put the keys in the door and in things and turns them like she is opened the door.. or starting a car. She was very cute trying to reach the door to 'unlock it'.

Grace's hair is also growing.. slowly but surely!:) I have been playing with it lately and have discovered she can have a 'mini' 'Peebles' ponytail! :) Her hair will also curl a lot in the back when it is wet and the other night a played with it and you can just see all of the CURLS! ;-)

.................New things all the time!!!

AL visit in September..

We left for AL last Friday and stayed till Tuesday of this week. Grace did much better in the car this time, esp. on the way down. We had Adam's sister (Carey's) DVD player that you can use in the car and Grace watched Elmo and Boz on the way down and back and was SUPER excited that she could see them in the CAR. On the way back, she was fighting going to sleep a little more.

While we were there we stayed with Adam's parents this time. We had a very good visit because we had more time to see every body and not be so rushed. On Friday, we were able to go visit Adam's Granny Cason and some uncles, etc were there too. On Saturday, we went and saw Adam's Granny Brown and then met up with my friend Laura (who I had said I hadn't seen since 2001) and 1 of her daughters came and we had lunch together and then went to the mall and walked around. It was really great 'catching up' with her and I was very glad I got to see her. (Regretfully, I forgot to take any pictures of her or us..). After this, we went to my sister-in-laws and spent the day with all of them and got to spend time with Vann (our 5 month+ old nephew.) He was very sweet and SOO good! He was so cute to watch him interact now and to be expressive! Grace kept giving him kisses and he was giving her love right back! They were SOOO cute together. They sported their team colors on Saturday because it was game day and all the football games were on T.V. It was also Adam's Dad's Birthday so we all was over there enjoying pizza, football, and just being together for his Birthday! We later went back to Adam's parents and put Grace to bed and we got a phone call from some old friends of ours and they were watching the Auburn game at a friends house that night and so we ended up going to their house after Grace was asleep and was up with our friends watching the game and hanging out! It was so good to spend time with them!!! FUN TIMES!

On Sunday, we went to our old church and Adam did the Sunday School lesson for the College Class. (Which went very well!) We got to see all of our church friends that day too and some of them even treated us to lunch that day at a local Mexican Restaurant. Adam's Mom and Dad took care of Grace while we went to lunch so that she could go home and get a nap! (We are very thankful for that!). We later went to my Grandmother's house and spent time with her and let her see Grace too. We all had Wendy's together for Dinner. We then relaxed with Adam's parents the rest of the day. On Monday, we went to Walmart with Adam's Mom and got a few goodies for Grace and then we went to my Mom's and spent the rest of the day there. She cooked a HUGE and very YUMMY dinner for us all and my step-sisters and there children came and we all had dinner together. Grace was LOVING seeing Emily and all the boys. She was right in the middle of all of those BIG kids and thought she was one of them! You all should have seen her playing with them... SO CUTE!

On Tuesday we left for home. In all, a great trip!

AL bound!

We are leaving in the morning for Alabama! We will be staying at the Brown's and we are very excited about seeing the family and also catching up with some friends this weekend! We will be there till Tuesday so we will have a long weekend there! We are also very excited about seeing our nephew Vann (who we haven't seen since he was a couple weeks old and now he is 5 1/2 months old!!!

I am also very happy to see my friend Laura who I haven't seen in 6-8 YEARS! We are going to lunch on Saturday and I am going to get to meet her 3 kids for the FIRST time with the exception of her first son Cole when he was just born! We will also get to go to our 'old' church and see a lot of our friends and probably out to lunch with some of them! Adam is also teaching the college Sunday school class this Sunday morning!

Feeling excited and grateful!!....

17 Months Old TODAY!!??

It is so hard to believe that our little bitty baby is 17 months old today! I think back to the earliest days to even when we were in the hospital and the overwhelming joy, thankfulness, and the AWE that I felt of our amazing creator God when I first saw Grace. I remember being so thankful to God that He had entrusted Adam and I with this precious little baby and thankful that she was healthy and I knew we were TOTALLY BLESSED!

As the days followed our precious little baby has blossomed into a bundle of pure joy with a very laid back, yet fun-loving personality!....

At 6 months.....

At 12 Months....

And now... 17 months...

Thank You God for our sweet Grace!!!
