Fields of Faith

We took the youth to Fields of Faith at Lakeside High School the Wednesday before our trip. We have a great group of youth. Not very many of them but they sure are faithful and we are thankful for all of them. We have a lot of fun with them too. One of our girls didn't get to come and we also have had a couple that have started coming since this night.

Fields of Faith is a nationwide event for youth. They all get together from many churches and schools and individual youth get up and share their testimony and then they had great music too, as well as free pizza, etc. It was great and many kids got saved and lives were changed that night!

My girl... Laci :)

The children's ministry is booming at our church. When we came here there were like 3 kids on Wednesday night and 2 youth. We are now running about 7 youth and almost 30 kids. We started a van ministry due to the need for most of the kids around our area come from lower income homes and won't come unless they have a ride. Because of some of the home situations, some of these kids, can be a bit of a challenge. My kid's class that I do with Sherry has gotten so large that we had to split it up last week. The last two weeks.. 21 kids in our class, and then 18 this past week. So we split it and we're trying to get more order in these classes because these kids just love being at church but can be a bit wild at times!! :) We start some new Christmas material in a few weeks and we have now recruited more workers for our children's activities on Wed. nights so I will start being with Adam and the youth on Wednesday nights which I think will help in a lot of ways. Awesome opportunities!!
